s3mamill, It's ok not to have a load on the Reverb Unit when it's idling. The 6K6GT is really seeing a load with the reverb tank & its tranny. And it's not as critical for the 7025 to "see" a load, while idling.

Art, should have prefaced that it's ok... as long as that 12AX7 (7025) has a grid-to-ground resistor sitting on it (that 1-meg ohm baby). Just in case someone bumps the unit and causes the tank to "crash." The 1-meg ohm will dump the excess transient current before it cooks the 12AX7's grid.

I saw that happen numerous times at high-school sock hops and the like -- sometimes deliberately induced for "dramatic effect".

I wonder how many vintage 7025's died prematurely due to such creativity......?
