While the boys are going at it in the padded cell.

FWIW, I put a rosewood fretbaord on my MIM Tele. Really love this guitar. Loaded with 5-2 Duncans. Very cool vintage tone. Great balance. Fun guitar.

+100 on that Reb...you got a couple I wouldn't mind taking for a test drive, as does Arjay, Supro, Cedar, BB, BMW2002ti, etc...sorry if I left anyone off the list...too many amps not enough time to try em all!

Here are some fine amps surrounding some favorite guitars if I do say so myself...but I might be partial...My son and I were inspired to do some photos after a bit of a jam.

That middle gold one caught my eye. Tell us about it if you would be so kind.

Topp, back to that micro-tonal guitar...

Sorry to beat the dead horse, deader... but, I can't get my mind and fingers around this guitar. What exactly does this allow you to do, that a run-of-the-mill guitar doesn't?

Mucho gracias!

T2. Nice looking collection and all cosmetics seem to be in great shape.
Do you use an amp head for the Fender speaker cabinet?

FreeNote 12-Tone Ultra Plus Microtonal Guitar Neck on Samick Greg Bennett Body
Belive it or not, the guitar arrived with .10 strings on both high/low "E" slots.
Wondering what the heck? and thinking about Keith Richards five string guitars,
I called the Freenote mfg who said the strings should be a regular set = good news.

Buying this from a third party without the original manual and theory book, I need to
purchase a book suggested by Freenote on microtonal structures. This particular guitar
has 36 notes and subtones within each octave, rather than the 13 notes within a normal
octave. These guitars are more generally used for "world" music, or esoteric music,
but are used in rock & blues, etc. I sent an email to a blues band who uses these
microtonal guitars to see if I could get their thoughts, reasons why and their opinions
regarding their sound/tone advantages from using the microtonal guitars.

Personally, I'm going to set it aside till I can study as I desire. The Strat
is incredibly nice & slick & smooth ~ and is the lightest Strat I have ever held.

I researched Samick and Greg Bennett as both are in the custom guitar business,
full complete quality electric guitars. I emailed Greg Bennett to get the scoop
on my guitar's history, body, pickups, wiring, etc.

When I get it all together, I'll post on an NGD thread. Hopefully there'll be other forum
members who enjoy & play microtonal guitars.

There are different manufacturers and guitar styles. There are different amounts
of microtonal notes, and I read one guitar has up to 54. My intial idea (and still is)
to use this guitar to improve my fretwork and scale possibilites and create new tones.
As someone said, I am sure all subtones can be achieved by bending strings.
I'm putting it off for a month as a new project to start :D

Thank you. I buy only exceptional quality items and I take great care with them...even when gigging. As for the cab, I am actively hunting a Bassman head for it...but on occassion I run the '64 Princeton through it just for fun.
