Loving the blackface champ - looks so cool! Sounds like you got one hell of a deal.

It also sounds like the guitar collection could make me a tad green as well.

Man this forum just makes me want to buy more things!

I waited the guy out for three weeks, he wanted about 150 more than I wanted to pay.
since we live in economic wastelands here, i figured he wouldn't sell at his price.

This amp no doubt was a restore, whoever did it did an excellent Job !

BB...Nice amp score. You have been on a roll the past five months or so...way to go! And that Princeton is calling your name...

Superb amp and I'm seriously jealous.

I'm still looking for the right one!

Get that Princeton too!

I'm terrible at reading schematics
Looks like a 320, 340, 350 volts 25 25 25 can will work to replace this mess or
http://www.tubesandmore.com/products/C-EC40-20-20
will this one work ?

Looks easy enough to pull The huge spragues and solder in a new can.

Would you guys say that the bronco is still a good deal with the $110 shipping and the other work I'll need to do (changing to three pronged plug and transformer $50)?

Looks really nice!

Blues, I've used this cap with several Champ and VC (and two Broncos). Very good. 525VDC rating is nice for long life. Watch speaker clearance!

Not trying to second guess you guys about the can cap but.....
Why not just toss out the 80uf and install another 20of 500V ???
Whats the advantage with the can ?

Thanks

The cap can is what Leo specified when he designed the amp.
