Topp, FWIW look at the third row, left for the Model 26 (1946) Fender amp. Very similar to mine. It was one of the first Fenders (or K&F) built with tagboards. But, I have seen plenty of WW2 and pre-WW2 amps mades with tagboards. Just a lot easier to work on (esp in the field).

You're right. I broke my own rule by responding to him. Not gonna happen again. I'm tried of his BS.

Thanks. Did you notice any photos of a great shot of PTP wiring?
So, are you saying the early 1946 Fenders used tag boards as well?
or just some of thme?

Have you ever seen or known of a Fender amp post 1953 to have point-to-point wiring
without any boards or circuitry assistance at all. Or did the "true" PTP on Fender amps
fade away during the early 1950s.

Also, BMW. What is your take on today's sellers and marketing claims of
modern amps being built with the handwired point-to-point process?
Thanks, Toppscore

"Quad chin"......not hardly.

I've zipped dozens of know-it-alls like you into body bags on three continents after they found themselves "fatally over-extended".

And every one of them had more brains than you.

Anything that has at least one wire soldered by hand.

One wire is used to connect between two points.

Therefore, it is "point-to-point".

My wife has a body bag in the trunk of her car.

She got it from a friend who worked in the morgue of the same hospital she worked in. She tied the toe tag to a fake foot that she kept on her desk. She scares me sometimes.

Ha ha I love it. I hope you snore when you sleep or she might think you're done and zip you up in it. :D That'd be a heck of a situation to wake up to huh?
