While hunting about the Net, re: certain early Sprague Atom cap failures, came up with this post. Kinda interesting results. Esp the F&T ones. Just to add to your daily paranoia. :cry:

Beemer, glad you missed my heated discussions on that very subject, on that board. Not a big fan of Sprague. Seems the outsourcing has compromised the QC. Which caps are made in North Carolina is a point of contention, given the codes and company's claims. But we all know the result of opening the big blue caps. F&T is another ball of wax. But Hey, testing prior to use is now the normal way of gettin'n by. Yeah, Arjay I've actually gone with Mallory caps, in friend's amps and my reverb unit. Art
