Welcome to the family RJ,a finer step-son I never had....

yeah Topp...from what I've read the Brown Vibrolux and Tremolux are the same, which the OT would be different because the speaker load is different,Vibrolux 6G11A 8 ohm,vs. 4 ohm,Tremolux 6G9A&B.
Now since your Tremo is an AA763 there might be some other minor differences from my 6G11-A in the circuit design....that era had some interesting transitional amps....some things are not what the schem shows.

Thanks. I am planning on building a chassis kit, and have realized the
Twin Reverb chassis is an exact fit for five amps with only speaker
configurations being different; that the ohm output does not change. Interesting.

I read that the Super Reverb and the Bandmaster Reverb and some other chassis
designs are nearly interchangable. And, now the Tremolux and Vibrolux are of the
same circuit. Cool stuff.

This leaves big possibilities as I choose a chassis to build and have options as
to the cabinet and speaker configuration.

Real sweet tremolo and awesome Fender tone.

WOW Pristine condition!

Looks very nice with the rug too.

You are a lucky lucky man and I'll see you in 15 minutes. With my favorite locally brewed dark in hand! :D

With so much amp porn going around this post should be deemed NSFW. Beautiful pics guys keep them coming!

When I visited Capsule Music on Friday I got to try the Tremolux, the Bandmaster and a custom shop 2000s Vibrolux. The tremolux was by far the best, just perfectly even frequency response and awesome breakup. I did some recording Friday night and just couldn't stop thinking about how I wanted to play those songs live through the Tremolux-- it's the sound I was looking for! The Bandmaster was good but nothing spectacular and the trem was weak. The Vibrolux sounded good clean but the distortion was pretty yucky. Next time I go (probably tomorrow) I will try the 1965 Deluxe Reverb and 1962 Super and report back. The 1957 Bassman is unfortunately hidden away behind a wall of amplifiers so I may not get the chance to try it... yet.

If you're fond of tremolo, you'll fall in love with that '62 Super. It has the best of Leo's three different tremolo circuits -- a hypnotic lushness so intense that it required three tubes (of the preamp's six) to create.

Yes. I sold my 1962 1x12 Brownface 6G4A Super Amp earlier this year.

I am about to get rid of my 1966 1x12 JBL Deluxe Reverb within a week.

I have the 1963 Tremolux & 2x10 cabinet in our bedroom
to enjoy those "bedroom noises" without being mic'd
I really do like the clean tones and Fender sounds from the 1963 Tremolux.

Of all my amps under 50w: the
1954 4x10 5D6 Bassman
1963 2x10 AA763 Tremolux
1964 4x10 AB763 Super Reverb
1964 Blackface/BlackTolex, 6G6B w/Presence Bassman amp head . . . . . to me,
IMHO, the above four give the best vintage Fender amp sounds from my collection.

I'm considering getting a 1960 Fender 6G4 2x10 Super Amp.

So, good luck with the Tremolux, and consider Fender Blonde, Blackface, Brownface & pre-Silverface amps.

I do have the 1968 Silverface Showman Reverb, 1968 Bandmaster Reverb and
1968 Twin Reverb ~ all great amps, but all definitely with different tones. Toppscore 8)

Sounds like you have a nice collection, Topp! Used to tech for a collector, some years ago. Got to play them, when they were in for a check-up. But I sure couldn't afford them!!! Art

Thanks. AlemPoppi!
Yes it's a blast. I have nine Telecaster & Stratocaster guitars of which zero are
of standard Fender configurations. I want different wiring, veritone switching,
in/out phase toggle switches, various HHH HSS HHS HSH SHS SSS configurations.

I just received a 1990s MIA Strat with only one bridge humbucker, no other pickups
and a rosewood scalloped neck.

The point is that I really want to discover and apply new tones with the amps. That is the
basis of my collection = tone chasing  Will be looking to build several unusual
custom speaker cabinets (including two tone ring cabs) to add to the tone chasing mix.

I have a good sized collection of 1980s Paul Rivera Era Fender amps,
Cyber Twin, Tone Master, Super Sonic, G-DEC Thirty, and some others
that are more fun to play than the vintage amps, because of all the gadgets.

But, the Tremolux makes me play good and true. It will catch my errors.

AlemPoppi, what do you have for amps, guitars and goals?

A bogus bunch: '67 Bandmaster(some hot sauce) 2X12, '68 conversion Bassman(AA 864 bass channel, with hot sauce), generic AB763 normal channel, AB763 power amp section, 2X10 combo. And a wonderful '55 Valco(5watt) driving 2 Alnico 10" spkrs(in seperate cabs). Not much to speak of, but the guys take care of my biz, on stage and recording needs. All the guys are the Alessandro and NOS tube route(not an orange drop In the bunch). Guits: '89 Am Strat/ Lindy Fralin vintage pups, '89 Fernandes(lic infrig) swamp ash Tele, maple neck(no board)P90 neck pup, '72 F48 Guild acoustic, new Ricky 360 12 string. Art

Art.
So you have a 1967 Bandmaster amp head with a 2x12 speaker cabinet?
or a custom 1967 Bandmaster 2x12 combo amp?

A custom 1968 Bassman 2x10 combo amp? with AA864 & AB763 internal channels? Wow!

Than is fun stuff for tone, if I understood it correctly!
Congratulations. Did you make the mods yourself?

Yeah, the B'Master is a head and cab. Rebuilt the Bassman completely, right down to solid core wire, color coded and lead dressed to 763 specs. Art

Art must be chatting about his Bandmaster AA763 or AB763 mod.
All sounds custom to me.
Try explaining the mods on Craigslist

Right guys! This is my pick and choose of what I prefer from Leo's designs.(built into a '68 Bassman chassis) Arjay, the power section is of the straight 763, 2X6L6 with bias adjust design. The normal channel is a generic two stage 763. The bass channel is of the 864 design, with tone stack caps focused on a guitar's frequency. The plate load resistors and cathode resistors are focused on a more mid frequency-gain response(ala Marshall). The negative feedback circuit is backed down, to allow a more raw sound out of the power section. It just happened to be a '68 Bassman reject head from the collector, I worked for. So yeah, it's in a custom 2X10 combo cab. Hope that clears up any misunderstanding. It cooks quite well! My amps are destined for my grandson and friends, with full documentation. Art
