Bruce Zinky has dick to do with any Fender amp made before 1985.

Feel free to anally impale yourself with a "marital aid", pal.

Mr. Arjay, I read in Mr. Zinkys' own words that he worked some on the developement of the Pro Junior. That came out it 1994. I found what some of the things he had to say interesting. He spoke very unflattering things about a former guy that worked for Fender back then also. I'm not arguing or starting a fight sir, but it appears you are being a wee bit hostile with your posting towards this Toppscore dude! Earlier today on some other post here, some other cat was trying to make some weird point and getting offensive with myself also. This same wannabe charecter (who probably sucks on guitar) was attacking this poor fellow Toppscore in a condesending manner as well sir. I say let us be more gentlemanly like in nature. Are we all 8th graders here? This is a forum of people with interest in music and, the wonderful instruments used to create music. I feel we need to be a little more patient with each other. You may agree with this or maybe you may suggest that I too impale myself. I don't know. Just what is in the atmosphere today, that is causing such hostility?

No, there's only one -- the cupcake who deliberately started this totally off-topic thread in the "Vintage Amp Forum".

Mr. Zinky was brought on board FMIC by Mike Lewis (head of Fender's amp R&D division) in 1992. Any discussion of him rightly belongs in the "Modern Amp Forum", as do any discussion of his designs that ultimately became Fender products.

You may regard me as an "8th grader" as well......but I'm the sonofabitch who always got straight A's in history class and I know how to categorize a topic into the appropriate section of a forum.

Jac, don't think I was the the one to offend you. But Arjay has a valid point, concerning the Tone Master. It is of a more current production. Personally, I can understand the amp's relation to the older models. So that's cool with me. But eighth grade was a struggle, just as soon forget Sister St Georgine Marie. You know what I mean? Peace and Good Pickin' ! Art

I thought this was the "Board index » Fender Guitar & Bass Amplifiers » Vintage Guitar Amplifiers (anything before 1985)" Forum?

Bruce is a fine engineer and he created some legendary amps -- in the same vein as Mike Soldano, Bruce Egnater, and even Alex Dumble. He's certainly worthy of discussion insofar as his accomplishments while at Fender are concerned. But those discussions rightfully belong in the modern amp section of this forum.

I agree whole-heartedly about this crap being off topic (OT). The forums are getting full of OT, OT....OT, and it sucks. But frankly, everyone should stop it, not right to pick on a new guy for doing the same thing that long-time members have insisted on doing. And putting "OT" in the topic makes no difference.

For someone who doesn't like the use of absolutes, this seems rather funny especially since you seem to be one who comments on many many many posts.

Listen. Of all the sites I have had the privledge to be allowed to post on the fellas here are amongst the most tolerant and generally good natured I have met. They are above all very helpful. You need to humble yourself sometimes and realize that this forum is as good as it is because of these fellas. You're a freshman here just like me so chill dude.

Only RJ is pushing and tossing crud. No one else. I agree with you.
This is a cool site. No problems except from one person.

I do not comment on every thread.

Please go away.

You don't follow the rules on placing topics in the proper forum and then get upset when folks point that out to you and also say afterwards.."To me it is Vintage history
influencing modern amps. To me this thread really works."

So even though you know it's not right what you are doing, you continue to do it.
What does that say about you?

You're ending up making a name for yourself. Not a very good one either.
And as you mention, only one person is causing the problem. Look in the mirror please.

Look. It MAY be off-topic in your opinion. Not in my opinion.

Think again. Is discussing ANY Fender Reissue amp for this forum or the modern forum?
So, be cool with something. Express your opinions. But, let other opinion flow.
We all can turn a page and move on instead of negative commenting. But, some of us
just have to add a negative comment to get their two-cent ego spent for the day.

Again. I was not discussing all about a 1994 amp (I did get one last month);
I desired the thread to get into Zinky's past & influences by vintage Fender & Marshall amps
and seeking Zinky's reasons for his mission to accomplish vintage tones. Read his history.
Because of his "vintage" background, Zinky has helped produce Fenders best amps
during the past thirty years: Tone Master, VibroKing, Custom Vibrolux,

Not you, Shimmilou; not necessarily you, but if someone does not like a thread, move on.
Why spoil someone else's thread or opinions just to state a personal negative opinion?
Move on.

Cool it, T. Why respond? Move on. Start another thread?
You are correct. It is vintage before 1985 for me.

You guys miss the good point(s) about the Bruce Zinky thread. First of all, I purchased a fantastic 1994 Tone Master Amp built/designed by Mr Bruce Zinky. Had not heard of Zinky until last month. Researching a bit, discovered he was directly involved with the design and production of Fender's greatest and most expensive amps during the past thirty years ~ Vibro Kings, Prosonics, Custom Vibroluxes, Tone Masters and other Custom Shop Boutique amps and high-end productions amps. I posted this Zinky thread for two reasons: 1) to find out about a man who was clearly influenced by 1950s/1960s vintage Fender and Marshall maps and has been driven to design, produce and create
vintage amp tones/sounds from modern technology. Zinky wants the vintage sound to live on.
Vintage influential enough thread for me, maybe not some, but clearly for others.

Anyway, some have other opinions. Out of 503,000(+) Fender Forum Members/Users, most can debate, disagree, suggest, offer different points of view, etc. towards another forum member’s comments or threads.

Not cool to interject opinion about absolutely clear forum rules, they should be the same for everyone. There are several parts of the forum, categorized to be helpful and easy to navigate, specific sections for specific topics, and even a section for off topic discussion called the "Lounge". This isn't Facebook, get used to it.

The ones who should move on, are the ones that want to discuss topics other than the title of the forum. This same argument about how someone "feels" has already been presented, and it matters not what someone feels about it, it's still lame to try to muck-up the forum to suit ones mood.

It's like going into someone elses house and refusing to take off your shoes when asked. Just plain rude, whether you agree or not. There is absolutely no reason that this topic shouldn't be posted in the Modern Amp section, and only one reason that it shouldn't be here, OT, plain and simple.
