+1!

A grand puts one into silverface Deluxe Reverb territory and that's five times the amp a Blues Junior will ever be, regardless of how much lipstick is smeared on it.

Is this the same guy that rebuilds Deluxe reissues? He takes a DRRI, guts the chassis and rebuilds it more inline with the way original BF/SFs were done. I don't remember what he charged but I'm sure the combined price of his work plus the reissue amp was more than a decent silverface original.

Don't the Deluxe Reverb Reissues have PCB boards?
IMHO, I do not believe they are hand wired completely 100%.

Toppscore 8)

I know that the original BF and SF PR are going for a good piece of change. But, of all the PR I bought, sold, and fixed--- they are rock solid, once basic repairs are done. And they never lose value (unless you dump the keg on the amp).

The AA764 I have, cost $650 in mid 1990's. I haven't seen one on Ebay or CL recently. But, one went for $2K, in March. Really, this amp... is easy to fix CORRECTLY, if you have the proper cap can (I use 30/20/20/20 at 525VDC from AES). All the rail resistors are in spec. And the bias is set correctly on those 6V6GT. I feel this beats the heck outta Net-based "super mod" this or "the mod to end all mods" that for the Reissue. Which may leave you with a less stable platform to shoot your 50's off of. JMO.

I'd get a good SF PR. Redo it correctly & watch the value go up each year. While you enjoy the tunes.

My mistake. I was thinking DRRI, not PRRI.

Searching around, 1965 must have been a fantastic year for Fender:
TRRI * 1965 Twin Reverb Reissue
SRRI * 1965 Super Reverb Reissue
DRRI * 1965 Deluxe Reverb Reissue
PRRI * 1965 Princeton Reverb Reissue
TRCRI * 1965 Twin Reverb Custom 1x15

Any others? I did not realize there were at least five.
I will bet they all have PCB boards with ribbon cables, right?

I'm into my '65 Princeton Reverb for about $750 all told. I could flip it tomorrow for $1850, no problem.
