My amp was working fine but I didn`t use it for a long time. When I turned it on again it wasn`t getting power. Does anyone know what may be causing this ?

Start with the fuse located on the back panel.

I checked the fuse and it seemd to be good, I also looked on the tubes for signs of a blown tube and I didn`t see anything like a dark mark on the tube. Could this be a cap problem ?

Doe the pilot light come on? If it doesn't and the fuse is good, it could be a bad power cord or outlet. Fuses can be faulty and not look blown.

No, the pilot light does not come on. I just had the power cord changed from a 2 to a 3 prong grounded cord because I was getting a small shock through the switch. All the outlets are farily new due to a basement renovation and all the electrical lines are new. I also looked at the pilot light and that looked ok. An electrician looked at the fuse and said it looked good but maybe I should start by replacing that first. I was wondering why not using it would cause it not to work anymore, it just seemed strange.
