+1

I favor the CTS alnico as well for all of my 10-inch applications......

They're still plentiful, cheap enough, and the reconditioning/reconing costs (if needed) are relatively reasonable.

doing my second BMR/Vibroluxclone thingy and going to use reconed Jensen P10PFs. They were reconed with Weber's 10F150 cones at 25 watts. Kind of makes them a P10N type.
Putting them in a 2x10 cab.

The P10Q's seem to get all the press (and the glory) but the P10P is a fine speaker in its own right. A friend put a quartet of them in a SFSR -- it sounds awesome!

Just got the amp back from the tech. Here's a picture of the sticker inside.

I might take it a part and take some photos of the electronics this evening.

Now I gotta ask...production #27? What exactly does that number indicate? Mine is NL and Production #1?

Fender built each specific amp model in batches, and those could number as few as ten units or as many as several hundred. The batches were numbered according to the precedence of their manufacture date. A "1" inked on the tube chart indicates yours is from the initial run and that batch must've been huge since the "NL" date stamp indicates December of '64 -- nearly a year after the 6G2 was updated with the then-new blackface cosmetics. My "NK" marked '64 Pro Amp is from production batch #3 which likely means it was among the last of its type ever made. Saint Leo might've actually touched this amp as it made its way from assembly bench to the loading docks for shipment to a dealer.
