Have any of you guys ever installed a mod to a silverface champ that allowed you to go between stock circuit and 5f1 circuit? I see that cieratone has that option in they're champ ultra amp, but I was wondering if it could be accomplished with a silverface.

IMHO, it'd be very difficult with one switch. From comparing the two schematics, the 1.) plate voltage on the input stage , 2.) global feedback resistor, & 3.) bypassing the tone stack are some of the big differences between the two.

I've got one on the way that has a Weber 8f125 installed in it so hopefully just my OD pedal suffice until I can get a tweed, saving for an original to have a piece of pre CBS Fender mystique.
