I recentely bought a blues deville reissue amp, 60 watt. Sometimes when I play certain notes or freq's the amp seems to rattle and buzz, but only while the notes being held, and only on certain notes (mostly on a B), anybody know what could cause/remedy this? The amp is Brand New.

Thanks.

Probably tube rattle. Play your note and touch each tube gently with a pencil eraser. If it stops, it's tube rattle.

Rattling could be a whole ton of different things. First off, are you sure it's the amp? It could be something in the room like items on a desk or pictures hanging on the walls. Lifting it off the floor and putting it on milk crates or a chair could solve this. If it's something internal, it is often the tubes, but sometimes it can be loose screws or similar.

Could be. I have a window that sounds like a swarm of bees. Try another room. Look for anything loose in the amp too. If it's brand new and it's not the room, take it back and let them find it. You probably have 90 days on the tubes.
