Arjay,

The EIA codes are 606707 & 606705.

Phansford,

Speaker code = 4657707, so maybe a 77?

T2,

Agreed, jamming sometime sounds good! Thinking about running this baby into a 12" or 2x12 cab. Could be a fun project.

Also, thanks for everyone's advice / opinions. Much appreciated!

Yep 77! And if you check the speaker codes you might be able to get it down to a month or two between the codes...but either way '77 is close enough.

And I have a 66 Bassman Cab (2x12 Jensen C12N Speakers) that is a 4 Ohm cab if I remember right... So when we get that JAM, you'll have to try it!

The oldest it could be is February of 1977. I'd bet on a March completion and shipping date though. Nice score -- it oughta sound tasty through Tony's Bassman cab when you guys get together for a jam. You'll need an adapter to interface between the Vibro Champ's RCA jack speaker output and a standard 1/4" phone plug as what a vintage Fender enclosure normally requires.

Rawk on!

I installed a 1/4 inch jack in place of the RCA jack which makes it easy to plug into larger cabs. I have a 1x12 with a 4 ohm speaker I run my VC through sometimes. I paid about 350 for mine a year ago and its not in nearly as nice shape as yours looks, but about the same vintage, late 70's. Good score!

That's a great idea, so long as no permanent mods are made.

I often wire my '68 Bronco (in the foreground, below) to a 2 x 15 Showman cab for some interesting sonic interludes......

It's surprising how well six watts can light up a pair of JBL D130Fs.
