After examining her it looks like she's gonna need some new caps...

She also got a new speaker, the Utah was old and tired and I had this sitting around waiting for a new home.

How'd I do?? :D

But wait, there's more!

Been wanting this ever since hearing a good friend play one, one of the best amps I ever heard!!!!

Really nice. Good luck on restoring that DR. Well worth a good effort. That Vic looks good, too. How's the tone?

Thanks BMW! Both sound heavenly!!! The DR is your typical sweet 6V6 and the low end stays tight for a 12", starts to scream at 7!

The Vic is something else, close to a SR in many ways, even though it's EL84. It is really one superb amp IMO!

Oh I need your advice... I got some Sprague Atom 20uf 500v, was gonna use 'em on another amp but they didn't fit. Do you see a problem using those in the DR? I know it calls for 16uf 475v, are there any issues with going with the SA I have?

Thanks guys! Extremely happy with both amps, each very sweet in their own way... I've been wanting this Victorilux ever since I heard one in person, as good as it gets.
