Hey guys, I'm looking at this amp in town which seems like a good price and have a couple of questions. Does It seem like all the transformers are original? Some numbers I found online match these. Why does the PT have an F infront of the code and say "CSA tested"? Its a 67 and the front panel is black, but the grillcloth has the blue streaks in it like a silverface amp. Seems curious, but I assume it was made right as the switch was being made to silverface cosmetics. Do you guys think this might be the case or could it be in a later cabinet? I don't have an outside photo of the amp, but you can see the grillcloth in some of the transformer photos. Any info you guys have would be appreciated!

Seems like that power transformer is not original stock. At least, for a 1967 amp. It's dating code is: 606838. 606= Schumacher. 838 = 1968, 38th week. My WAG on the "F" before the 022798 is an aftermarket designation for "Fender" parts.

FWIW, "022798" is the proper PT for your amp.

hard to tell; the grill may have been replaced at one point vs. the whole cab.

the outside of the chassis only tells part of the story; the fact that it's a correct replacement transformer is at least a good one. would be good to know if the wiring inside is stock or if "enhancements" have been made that you'd have to pay money to reverse back.

I wouldn't let the cosmetics bother me as long as the amp was sound, or the price was such that I could bring it back to specs and still be financially within reason.
