Hi all,

Just wanted to share some pictures of my "new" 1967 Super Reverb that I acquired earlier this week. Everything appears to be all original. I've been dreaming of owning this amp for a long time and it sounds every bit as good as I've heard people say it does.

I also want to give much deserved appreciation and thanks to Arjay(Retroverbial) for his guidance in obtaining this amp. I would have never known what to look for and undoubtedly would have been ripped off. Thank you sir for all your time. I am honestly amazed that there are still people like you who so willingly divulge your experience & knowledge to the ignorant newbies such as myself.

She's not too shabby for a 45 year old amp. My apologies for the terrible camera phone photos!

Rabmag...Welcome to the Super Reverb Club ('72 SF owner myself)...and a sweet black face one it is! Even has the CTS Alnicos! I just love the Reverb in these too! Enjoy that BF Beauty!

And I too owe my SFSR to Arjay. He told me everything I needed to look for, transformer #s being the most important, but a long list of stuff...and he is a walking encyclopedia of Fender Amp Information. And I agree a great guy to share it all.

Rabmag, that is a great looking amp! Bet it sounds even better than it looks. Super Reverbs have always been one of my favorite amps. Yeah, that Arjay, is one helpful guy. Happy Pickin' ! Art

Rabmag, Great looking amp! Enjoy it. This is one amp, I will never sell-- learning my lesson almost 12 years after selling a BFSR. These amps have killer reverb and vibrato. I have no idea why (versus other Fenders of this era with similar circuitry). Prolly the speakers and perhaps the unique cabinet.

BMW...Agree 100% I will never let my SFSR go! It just sounds too good! RABMAG...don't ever let that BFSR go...and since we are hijacking your post a bit, might as well add to the SR Amp Porn...

Sweet amps you guys!

I love this thing...I'm so glad I didn't settle for anything less. The boomy yet tight lows, the crystal clear highs...it's everything I've ever wanted in an amp.

Feel free to highjack this thread with all your super beauties :]

Tyronne, once you've "played" on an SR... it's like a night out with Jessica Alba & she pays for everything.
