Hello
I recently acquired a 1968 Twin Reverb drip edge amp. One of the speakers is blown, and would like to know if these can be reconed. The speaker has the following information on the label. Fender Special design and the following numbers 105379 466-831 12T6-10. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
John

Those are Oxford Speakers, but the EIA Code is 465, not 466, sometimes hard to read, here is a site to help you find more info...(http://www.webervst.com/codes.html). And yes you can recone them, depending on where you live or what you are willing to do...here is a place that I have heard very good things about. If it were me, I would replace them with some Webers, JBLs or some Kendricks, and keep the originals for down the road should you decide to sell the amp.

Also here is a good site to learn more about your amp...

John, no sweat. I have learned a great deal here on the forum and it was just my turn to pay some of that knowledge forward. Besides, got to keep the Kharma on the positive side it is 2012 after all
