I've wanted one of these for several years and found this one,the tube chart has been torn out so dating it to the month isn't possible, the serial number dates it to '67,most of the components are '66 except for the reverb transformer which is early '67...so I'm calling this an early '67.

The only cap that been changed was in the bias section...I changed the filter caps and the electrolytics inside using Spragues and added a three prong plug, correctly wired with the hot going through the fuse.

Very nice, indeed! Excellent condition.

Have fun breaking-in those caps. Must be done at "5" and higher, of course.

Reb...that Vibrolux and Strat both rate a HUGE HOLY SCHMOKES! That amp is C-L-E-A-N, clean! Nice Score and way to use some vacation days...but now that you have a few less vacation days, you're going to have to find some serious time to get acquainted with those two...I am thinking a weekend ain't gonna cover enough time to crank on those two

Way to go.

T2

Yeah, Reb beautiful set-up! Are those Sprague bypass caps? Really dig those CTS speakers. Bet the sound is super! Your Strat looks just like mine, except it's an '89 with that 2-anchor knife blade bridge design. Stone-Soul, that guys been playin' on that neck pup. Congrats and happy pickin' ! Art

Thanks y'all...both amp and guitar sound great, really the pic doesn't capture the nice grain on the Strat,it's beautiful and is like new...but yep, they will be used this coming Sat. night and seasoned with some smoke and begin the journey as a working rig for blues/rock gigs!
yeah Art,the pic of the chassis was before the work was completed and the cap in the bias section was something different,I replaced it,and I used Spragues all around....thanks!

So we need to know ....... is this one headed out to work when you play with the new band and/or your son's band.

Has your son been eyeing it to take it out one night for a spin. You know these kids.... Dad gets a new sporty vehicle..... the kids are all over it..... sneaking it out of the garage when Dad's out of the house.

That's a great idea! Let the kids break in the new caps. :D

Then, the amp will be at a steady-state tone when you gig.

 Yeah,it's going out Sat. night for a gig with my son's band,I've been playing it at home, and my son hasn't seen it yet,but he will then,I have a feeling he's going to love it,he really likes the sound of 2x10s and he's been playing through my '60 Super with 2x10s...so this Vibrolux Reverb might be his "sports car"....
