Wondering if someone can help me. I have a 1965 Bandmaster that I purchased back in '65. It's all original. Are there any repair kits available for these amp, (caps, tubes etc)? The volume fades in and out and its has a lot of static in both channels. I'm sure they need replacing.

thanks

Not sure a repair kit will solve your problem. You might have bad tubes, check an repair bad solder . Maybe some tube's plate resistors are noisy too.
Yes filter capacitor AND bias capacitor need to be replace.

Better to find a real good tech for an overhaul repair If you don't know electronics and tubes amps servicing.

Yeah, Mr Fret, I agree with the guys. Had a '65 Bandmaster on my bench over a year ago. Spent about 2 1/2 hours on the rehab. A lot of cleaning, checking, recapping, tube r&r. This amp was also, all original except for one GE power tube(the other was a RCA Black Plate). The job started with the 2 prong power cable and ended with the filter cap bed-in and tube bias. It's a tedious process, a little experience and patience are key. If you choose to take on the project yourself, the influence of a good tech will help you get the job done. I would not try to discourage you from taking on this project . Rather, find a good adviser near you, for basic help. Good Luck ! Art
