I have a 1964 Fender Pro Amp, which originally had a 15" speaker. When it blew out I cut the cabinet down and brought the bottom panell up to make it an amp head. The vibrato control is actually making my volume decrease when I increase the intensity. All the tubes are new, and fit snuggly in place. Does anyone have an idea of what I should look for to
correct this problem ?

Sounds like your light dependent resistor (LDR) is shorted and needs to be replaced. This is something that an amp technician should do if you are not experienced working with the electronic circuitry in your amp.
