trying to update my pedalboard; making setup/teardown easier is a good thing. Right now I have a 25' IEC cord and a 20' audio cable taped together to make running power and audio easy.

The one thing I haven't added yet is my tremolo footswitch. For all my Fenders, it's the only effect I'd switch (I never switch off the reverb on my Princeton Reverb.

Would like to find a way to build a simple stomp box from a Hammond Mfg. The standard stompbox takes up a little less real estate on the pedal board in terms of width than the 1-button vintage kind, and also means that all cables can be disconnected from the pedalboard before putting it in its case.

The box would have a 1/4" jack and a footswitch. I'd then use a cable to run from there 1/4" to an RCA jack for the back of the amp.

Is there some trick to wiring the switch? Any help/ suggestions would be welcome.

thanks.

If I understand your question correctly, you want to replace the stock Fender Reverb/Vibrato switch with a small box that only switches the vibrato/tremolo? Correct?

Seems you'd need to run a RCA style interconnect coax wire with an RCA plug at one end (to amp). Then to the box. Then have the switch be able to connect (off) and disconnect (on) the center wire from hot to the outer weaved wire which is connected to ground.

Leave the Reverb RCA jack open, at back of amp. And you'll always have that effect.
