Dog chewed power cord in two. Need to put ground replacement plug on it just want to make sure which wire is which (black-hot, white neutral, green ground). I read about the capacitor charge, I thought about opening it to just replace the power cord. Not a good idea?

If you have to ask, you probably shouldn't be working inside a tube amp. There is in excess of 500VDC in places on a live chassis and even after the amp is turned off and unplugged you still have capacitors that hold on to a charge of hundreds of volts. If you don't know EXACTLY what you're doing, you can DIE!!!! REALLY.........
