Well the amp has been completed.

Here's a before picture, as a reel to reel player:

And after, as a 3W single ended tube combo amp:

With the speaker I put in, Jensen Mod 8" it's actually crystal clean, I had an old Ampro 15" cab from the 50s in there during testing and it sounded nasty and dirty, good bass too. Now it kinda reminds me of my old tweed champ but I have not pushed it yet to where it overdrives, so far it has stayed clean as a bell until 12 o clock. All the tubes are original, so from the 60s. But it will take time to break in that speaker. It's a much lighter unit now with all I removed, it's good to bring along to travel or test guitars but I wouldnt use it to perform for now. Good bedroom unit for maybe $30 invested.

Very cool.

Could an old tube based tv be used? The hole for the vido tube is just asking for a speaker. Just imagine all the shapes and sizes of old tube tv's.

How much watts does he TV put out though? Old antic tube radios are good medium as well.

That's why I filled the void with a speaker. Had to cut a piece of laminated wood to plug the hole.
