Hi, This is my first post, so Hello everyone. I hope someone can give me some advise or point me in the right direction. I have a 1964 Deluxe Reverb I bought around 1978. At some point a few years later, I had a local guy install a master volume in one of the input jacks on the clean side. He told me "it would be an easy change back", if I ever wanted it. Well, as it turns out, many years later, I would like to remove it, and put it back "stock", but I can't locate the guy. He may be dead for all I know. Its been over 30 years. Would this be an easy task for a novice to do, or, if not, I'm not sure who to take it to. I live in NW Indiana near the south side of Chicago, if anyone from that area knows someone.

Thanks for your help.

Since no additional holes were drilled for this "mod", the restoration back to stock trim should be seamless. You might check with local musicians in your area to find a local tech qualified to perform the necessary "surgery". Get confirmation from several independent sources before remanding the amp into just anybody's hands -- they're not making '64 Deluxe Reverb's anymore and you don't want some shlubb putting his dick-beaters on her.

Best of luck, HTH
