Has anyone used MIEC or heard of this brand of capacitor before?

I'm late to this thread but I just wanted to add my comment to it. I recently built a Marshall JCM 800 2204 50W head from scratch using all MIEC caps for filter, bypass and coupling caps as well as many of the smaller silver mica and ceramic positions. It came out splendid and I was quite pleased. I also recently recapped my Sovtek Mig60 with MIEC axial caps. Came out great. The caps were smaller than other brands of the same value and voltage rating which was important since I was working in a tight space. I bought mine from a site called Just Radios in Canada who sells components for radio restorations. I also recently recapped my Sovtek Mig60 with MIEC axial caps. Came out great. Even with shipping they were cheaper than what I could buy domestically.

Cut open a Sprague Atom and you'll find a small cap inside of a big tube. They are marketed solely for vintage restoration. F&T or Illinois caps... I've used those also with good results.

+1 on the MIEC caps. I'll use them from now on.

Only time will tell if they last as long as premium electrolytics from F&T and Sprague......
