Reverb? I wanna make a BandMaster style amp with my own logo on it so i can start my own tube amp company. plus i might make my own guitars too. the reverb will be as springy as the '63 Reverb® unit and the knobs will be Bassman knobs and a Deluxe Reverb faceplate with a Bandmaster style head and cab and a Princeton jewel. and tremolo circuit from a Showman. added Presence knob too and a "hendrix" knob for wah fuzz and uni vibe. and just in case some back up tubes to come with it.

Wow! Good luck with that venture. You may want to order a few extra Expressos from Starbucks. :)

Then start learning electronics and how to read schematics and how to have correct lead dress,etc....then someday when you're grown, maybe you can build something.
this is not the fantasy forum son,we don't impress easily,so forget trying to b/s us with the custom guitars you build, and the vintage amps you play through.....and stay out of the tube amp chassis until you have a clue on how to be safe and not get yourself killed.
I have seen all the stuff you post in the Lounge section...so have the others I'm sure....you can't walk the walk....you are just old enough to get on your parents computer and talk the talk.

It's a miracle to me ... how can a boy not know how to solder a pickup and at the same time ask about "making" tube amps? Go ask your dad about soldering, and when you know how to do it, come back.

Get your act together, FenderGuy1.

Cheers

David

Maybe to redirect this discussion -

Its a real shame that "industrial arts" classes have been removed from most high schools. I sure its the place where many of us learned some of the basic skills needed to do some electronic repair, wood working, and machining we do today. I wish I had taken more than just the drafting classes. (Hind sight is 20/20. I did get some of that experience in my Bauhaus style architectural education)

If those classes were still available, it would be great for a young person interested in amps and guitars to gains some skills. Think about it ..... if Retroverbial ran a shop class today, those kids would probably be doing a 5F1 clone kit as a class project. (I bet he'd make us all call him "Mr. Skinner". )

I am pretty sure if a class like that had been offered, my youngest would have taken it. He did his first "project guitar" this summer. He bought an older Epi LP Special - disassembled it - stripped it down - re-finished it and did new PUPs (Seymour Duncan Phat Cats). Now that he's at college and has access to the Tech Building labs - I won't be surprised if he builds an amp or another guitar sometime .

Maybe if the OP's school has those classes - he could reduce his posting and amp envy and be better-served by taking a few classes.

LMAO

When I attended "Alley Tech" at Keesler AFB while learning basic electronic theory in the service, such a clandestine diversion was known as an "R13 adjustment".
