Well i am careful with vintage gear. i watched this video on youtube how to handle a vintage amp and it said to always leave it on standby after you play

Tube re-issues should be handled in the same cautious manner.

Yes thats how i handle them. My friend has a 1963 BandMaster he modified with a glowing fender logo in the dark. Great amp and when i come in to the visitor center i will show Retroverbial how to handle a vintage amp or guitar. I will be taking my strap so i can play a Tele standing up. Mike Eldred should make a event where you have to build your dream guitar and you don't have to pay when you build it yourself. I will get a prewired pickguard for this too. and get someone who can solder to solder it for me. then i will put the neck on and then the custom shop will give it a setup.

I seriously doubt that there are any vintage amps at the Corona facility. I know that there is a non-affiliated "Fullerton Museum" that has a number of Fender exhibits (including some vintage gear) but visitors are not permitted to play or even touch any of it.

(oh, and it's "they're" and "their", Einstein)

They should. I love vintage Fender's. My dad sold his vintage 64 Vibrolux Reverb amp to me. He put the blackface panel back on. What's cool about it is it has a standby switch where the power was and the power is on the side of the amp so it would be easy to turn it on on stage. I used it at my old primary school and its a good amp. I played in front of the whole school with the amp miked. Easy enough is i used a Boss Bassman pedal too to make it sound like a bassman. I used to call it "The Bassman Reverb" They should make a Bassman with reverb too. I put a paper with "My amp" written on it. Its louder than my Marshall MG15FX and i tried it with my stereo as the cab and it sounded like a BandMaster cranked. lol BEST amp ever. I'll pass it down to my kids! (if i have any) lol I'm currently putting the Vibrolux Reverb on display. In a glass case and Every time someone wants to hear it i plug it in and it sounds as good as it looks. What do you think i should do with it now? Polish it or play the crap out of it and replace the tubes with NOS tubes?

You know, it's ok to be a little over-the-top with enthusiasm over guitars and amp. To be honest, I didn't pick up the axe to set the world ablaze, as the next Hendrix. I figured it was a good way to get laid. Too bad I waited until I was 40 years old.

In HS, there were these Goddess, which were totally unapproachable. To us plebs. But, the right song just might work. Or not. But, it sure as hell beat going back home all bummed out and WHIPPING out the Hustler.

Hang in there!

I swore I was going to drop it (and ignore you), but your presence is too invasive (kind of like an ingrown toenail).

Here's what you need to do:
(1) If you think we're being mean, go to the Gibson Forum and try this crap. You will be skinned alive and roasted on a spit...THOSE guys are mean. We've been fair and patient with you.

(2) Continue to post on this website, but only on the "Post Mindless Blather Here" thread. If ever a thread and a person belonged together, it's you two. You can make crap up, lie, post endless videos ad nauseum, and generally make an idiot of yourself and it will be ok. That's what that thread is for.

There's an old country song that said, "Don't call him a cowboy until you've seen him ride." Well, we have discovered that your horse is actually a pig and you can't even climb on his back (translation: you aren't what you present yourself to be).

...and while we're at it, don't use a (real or imaginary) disability as an excuse for mendacity. I have degenerative disc disease and cannot stand up properly for long periods of time, but do you know how many people actually knew that before I posted it here? Just the wife and kiddo...and by the way, I don't take painkillers or disability payments (even though I qualify for both) and I work full time, so if I can be an honest person and a productive citizen with my disability, you can too.

I actually felt a little sorry for you until you made that lousy excuse.

Go to that one inconsequential thread and stay there, and give us back our forum.
