Me and my son playing together, last night at a local club here....I've been jamming with him since he was around ten years old,and he is an amazing guitarist...we played through vintage Fender amps and the tone was great....just wanted my forum friends here to see it...cherish the fact that we have been given the gift of music,my friends!

BTW...I'm the one with less hair!
gear note....I'm playing a '59 Thinskin from Wildwood and he's playing a '57 RI Strat.....I used my '62 Vibrolux and he was playing through a '67 SFDR.....and can he crank out some tone,he's as talented at turning knobs and getting magic as he is playing. :D

That's great!

My 10 year old daughter just started playing and taking lessons a year ago, and while she's not out playing with our band yet, practicing with her is great, again through vintage Fender amps even better!

Man Ned...you will always be glad you did that, and she will never forget it.
My son said one time that some of his earliest memories are of him laying in bed at night listening to me play upstairs in the practice room.
Honestly,if it weren't for music,I don't know how I would make it sometimes...y'all know what I mean,I can't imagine not being a musician.
That picture was taken by a friend so I lifted the image off the computer,it's not as clear as it could be...nonetheless,it's a good moment.

Cool picture--that would be cool to experience as well.

Enjoy it as often as you can...

Seriously digging that pic's vibe, Reb.

Cherish those moments, Sir......they only come around once.

RAWK ON......both you and the lad! It looks like you raised him on the right gear.

Thanks y'all...and yep Arjay he does appreciate the right gear and he's learning the ins and outs of gigging with vintage amps...I keep him going with spare tubes if need be and I'm his shade tree guitar "tech". :D
And it's really special to jam with him,he tells everybody that I taught him everything he knows and when I solo after he does it sounds like a covered wagon trying to follow a Corvette....then they know he's just being nice.

That's cool Reb!! I've been blessed with a musical family like you. All my children, my sister and brother in law, and most of my grandchildren play an instrument. It's very rewarding when we all get together. Enjoy those moments my friend!! :)

Reb, that is so great. You sure raised him right if he is telling folks he learned everything from you...sounds like he learned the right things...having respect being one.

My son is a drummer and it is great having that musical bond that we can share. He is learning the right things about life lessons through our time together jamming, we have some great "Talks" when we jam.

Enjoy.

But we'd never have that Corvette if the covered wagon hadn't preceded it.

I think it significant to remember who the occupants of those covered wagons were -- they were the westward pioneers who braved hardship, deprivation, and peril to build a nation and the values which sustain and nourish it.

Just as you've done with your kids, Reb.
