When I had my Deluxe Reverb serviced (after I first purchsed it) the Technician stated to me that the transformer that was installed in the amp was actually a transformer from a Vibrolux(?). He stated that it was installed incorrectly (it was installed too far off the chassis). He stated that it would work as is or he could reinstall correctly or he could install a new matched transformer. I opted to have him pull the old transformer and install a Classic Tone by Magnetic Components. Not sure if that was the right choice but it is what it is and based on my discussion with the Tech the new transformer would perform as well or better than the one that was installed. With all of that said I now sit with a transformer that I don't really need. I will be selling on Craigslist or e-bay but I am not sure what price I should ask. Any direction would be appreciated.

The Transformer reads:

B-041316
93032267_341
EIA606MS0607-SB4

...it has no other identifying markings.

Thanks,

Beaubs

Tough call as it doesn't seem to be a Fender tranny.

Mebbe start the bidding at a C-note and see how it goes......?

(correction)

That part # corresponds to a PT for a DRRI. Thus, it's a genuine Fender part -- but perhaps not appropriate for an original Deluxe Reverb.

Best of luck, HTH

Beaubs, I have seen DR with the # 041316 number on the power tranny (Fender number = #125P23B--- not D). These are export versions of the DR. Do you have a switch to alter voltages? Or is this a 220VAC unit?

Beaub's DR isn't a 220Vac.....go to this thread in this vintage section and you will see the amp.

The only PT listed for a late '70s export DR with the pull-boost feature carries Fender P/N 022749......

However, the schematic for the DRRI does show the tranny mentioned initially (P/N 041316) as being correct for a re-issue.

Anyways Beaubs...a Merc/Mag transformer is as good as it gets with replacements,so don't fret about that decision.

I think that I am going to bring it in to a technician to have him review it and give me advice. I will post a pic when I get a chance to show you all what I am looking at.

Thanks for all of your help...

Beaubs

+1

That's a righteous hunk of iron for sure.
