The contemporary Custom Vibrolux Reverb bears no relationship whatsoever to an original AA864 VR despite any protestations or lamentations to the contrary.

Period, end of story, nothing follows.

If PBR is what Reb was drinking that might explain the hangover!

HAHA not me,it was Bud Lite last night, the PBR was probably the cheapest beer there,$2.00,that's why the boys were drinking it.
Man my ears took a beating last night,it slipped up on me big time....I have to do better than that.
I'm going to start playing a few sets with them,I told my son I'll play some smokin' in the groove backing for him and swap a few leads...he did a great job on some tough songs for a three piece band...always a challenge.
I guess I need to buy a video camera so someday I can let y'all hear some of it...
I wish we all were closer, man, couldn't we have some killer jams!

I'm not sure if this is trolling for trouble, but what is "partial gigs" ? No insult intended. Just never heard that term before.

And to Rebelsoul, 3 man band is where you REALLY learn & earn your chops. Carrying rhythm and doing lead is good practice. Of course, if you are SRV, Billy Gibbons, or Hendrix--- you sing too! Too much for this little brain to handle.

I've always liked SRV's version of Otis Rush's "All Your Love." Better than EC's. Really has that Strat sounding mighty good. Rhythm parts sound like horn accompliment. And the ringing three notes charactersitic of Rush's songs. Pretty cool stuff.

Sorta curious about that myself.

Is it anything like lip-synching?

Australia and the United States Of America......

Two not-dissimilar countries, inexplicably separated by a common language.

A partial gig could be when you only know a few parts of a couple of songs.

Yeah,I've done the three piece thing before and I really didn't care for all the singing I had to do,I don't consider myself to be a very good singer....and yeah,it's tough to carry all of the guitar parts, when you screw up it really shows... you can't hide as easy as being with another guitar player or keys.
I really respect what my son is doing,he's getting to be a top notch player...better than I am. :D

Sonny's been out here to southern Arizona a few times to play Bisbee's annual blues festival. Last year Tab Benoit was the headliner.

+1
I don't understand why such a historically great amp like the various Vibrolux configurations are now being bundled into that horrible mess of hum and hiss (the current Vibrolux Custom)...it has so much working in it's favor--2x10 speakers, medium wattage, vibrato and reverb, classic looks--yet it sounds so bad.
