I recently purchased a 78' Champ and am looking for some suggestions for a replacement speaker. I've been leaning toward a Weber, any other recomendations. Thanks.

Kendrick makes a fine Champ Speaker Replacement. I have one in my 68 Champ and it sounds fantastic.

Can't go wrong with a Weber Sig 8s, that's what I put in my BF champ.

Whatever your pleasure, be sure to specify a 4Ω driver.

I put Weber 8F150 into several Champs (and VC's). It's an absolute killer combination.

Thanks for all the replies. I haven't owned a Champ in years and had forgotten how much tone is in that little package![img]http:s1112photobucket.com/albums/k497/l88vette1/?action=view&current=cars288.jpg

Nice looking Champ. I'm thinking of swapping out the driver in my '74 Vibro Champ. The speaker is a Fender, but a replacement. It sounds fine, but I've heard so much about the Weber replacements.

I've got almost the same Champ (mine's a '73) and I put a Weber 8A125 in mine. It was an improvement over the tired old Oxford that was in there, but it took a while for me to warm up to the tone. Now, I like it.

Had I to do it again though, I'd give the Weber Sig 8 a go based on cost alone.

The little Weber's really are a sweet-sounding speaker.

No problem. And that's a gorgeous Champ BTW!
