Hi!! Iwas wondering if anyone can give me some tips for A good replacement speaker for my 1965 FENDER TWIN REVERB. I got a great deal on this old FENDER TWIN REVERB,cause IT WAS MISSING THE ORIGINAL SPEAKERS,The speakers that were in at the time were called "NAYLORS" They werent bad,But Iwould prefer to have vintage speakers for a Great popular Vintage amp like this 1965 FENDER TWIN REVERB.About 3 months ago I was surfin EBAYand got ahold of a pair of1966 JENSENS C12,Apparrently these speakers were exactly the same speakers that were in the 1965twin reverb originally. They came out of an amp in the 60s(cant remember the name, it begins with an"H". The original jensens that were put in the twin reverbs in the 60s had Fenders name on them along with the Jensen name,The1966 JensensC12s I obtained from ebay just have the Jensens logo. Ihad to get one reconed when I recieved it from EBAY.The other worked just fine,And once I got it repaired I had them in the 65 fendertwin reverb and it sounded fantastic. Now the one I had repaired blew again(Idont see any rips in the cone)My tech said there was something wrong with the recone even though it worked great for 3 months.I sent it back for repair and I now would like to get another set for spare purposes or who knows I might like them as permanent,But I have no idea on what is A GOOD MODERN SPEAKER REPLACEMENT(IVE HEARD BAD THINGS ABOUT THOSE MODERN ITALIAN JENSENS)Not nessacerrily bad ,I just heard they are not nearly as good as the 60s jensens. Can u please reccomend the best quality replacement speakers for my 1965 FENDERTWIN REVERB. Thanks for your time!!! CHEERS!!!

My opinion would be any of these three, with maybe a nod going to the Kendrick, if you have the extra $$

Webers 12F150 as they would be a good choice to replace Jensen C12N's.
Kendricks Blackframe 12.
Wearhouses' G12...I have heard good things about these.

FWIW

At $79 a pop vs. $149 for the Blackframe, I chose the Warehouse G12Cs for my Bandmaster 2x12 closed cab. Looking forward to it.

The guy who voiced my amp tried everything he had, and he preferred the Warehouse speakers to everything except the Kendricks.

If you have older Jensens, give Weber a call as they do recone vintage speakers and they would be the guys to do it and do it right.

BTW, a lot of people really like those Naylors so you shouldn't have a problem offloading them.

Ioffloaded the naylors as soon as i got the 66 jensens froom ebay(I REGRET THAT) bad move, But I must say the difference between the 66 jen and the naylors WAS PRETTY HUGE,The Jensens sounded so much better!! Now I remember why I unloaded them so quickly(THEIR REALLY WAS A HJUGE DIFFERENCE!! Do u see anything on EBAY I might like??

I like Webers,also...and have them in most all of my amps.
koocho, you need to pay attention to the watt ratings on speakers because a Twin can shred speakers that aren't built to handle the power.

Thanks - lot of fun rescuing this bandmaster, refurbing it back to living, and then getting a JD Newell cabinet for it.
The speakers may look like JBL D120's, but they're Weber California ceramic 12's with the aluminum dustcap. 80 watts. Very sparkly with Fender chime.
