I recently just picked up a 1965 fender bassman head amp with a matching cabinet for 950. i thought that was a decent deal but the cabinet was unloaded. i found a pair of matching 1964 utah speakers for 75 bucks. so in all i spent a total of 1025 bucks. i was wondering if i made a good investment or did i ripped? what do you think i can sell it for? the head had a few filter caps replaced and the tubes also. other than that it screams.

thanks

Assuming decent cosmetics and no obvious signs of irreversible mods or other blasphemy, I think $1025 is a reasonable buy price. Personally I would've searched out a pair of period-correct C12N Jensens or 12T8 Oxfords but if the tone suits you, the Utahs are fine. With the present market conditions you might flip this rig for $1200.
