Do most Quad Reverbs have a Master Volume? I found one for sale but am not able to look at it. If i turned the Pre to like ~1 and the Master all the way to 10, would I be able to over drive the tubes?? Or is this amp just too loud and too clean?

The Quad like the Super Six is basically a 100 watt Twin with more speakers. Yep, they're seriously clean, seriously loud and really heavy, and you'll make your ears bleed before you get it to breakup. I believe they all had master volume controls. I had a Twin for 30+ years with a master volume with a boost. You have it backwards. You turn the volume up and control it with the master volume. The pull boost was useless. It was really harsh sounding. No matter how you look at it, you'll need to get it really loud to break up. I would look for a Vibrolux Reverb or maybe a Super. The Quads were cool amps but even heavier than a Twin. Very serious tone. I liked mine. Some people don't like them. You should really try it out with your own guitar.
