Take it to your tech. After all, he'll be able to diagnose, adjust & replace if necessary.
If you've got a good relationship with him, ask if you can bring the sweet sounding Twin along. He may be able to hear (by components & sound) just what it is you're hearing.

BTW how big are your gigs where you can piggyback TWO Twins?

HA HA LOL!! First of all good idea to bring my other( he brought that back to life) we have an awesome relationship) I know its over doing it!!(2 twin reverbs) Ive been collecting andbeen playing now for only about a year now( tube amps,BF) My first bf was the pro reverb, than a deluxe reverb, THAN THE MAGICAL 65 TWN REVERB!!Ilike the fact that the twinreverb wont break up easily at a low volume,I also like the fact that it has that power!! (parents live a block away, (and a couple times said they heard me practicing from their home lol!!)I thought the fantastic tone was attributed to it being a twin reverb,so I wanted to get that tone in stereo for certain things,They never leave my music room(the twins) So lugging those beasts around wasnt gonna be an issue. I love the head room, and I know Ill never have to worry about that, having the twin reverbs. Im using a pedal called the O.C.D by Fulltone,It gives great distortion without killing my tube tone!!If I was in a band or jammin with the bros ,the 66 deluxe reverb would andcould probably be perfect for that application!! TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS THE 2 TWIN REVERB ARE MORE FOR COLLECTING PURPOSES.
