I've been offered a 1970 Guild F-50 for my 1966 Princeton Reverb. I can't find anything on older Guild F-50s with respect to value. Anybody here know?

A new F-50 is almost $2800 at guitarcenter.com but I can't find any info on older models.

I'm open to any comments, advice, or feedback.

Regards to all,

A '66 Princeton Reverb in *nice* shape commands $1800 to $2200.

I'd opine that a 41-year old Guild F50 would be in that same ballpark.

Thus, probably a fair exchange (assuming the guitar has no undisclosed "fleas").

Fair exchange if you need a Guild F100... do you?

Yeah, I'd say it's a good trade. If both pieces are in equitable condition, I would say the Guild should be worth more. As long as the neck joint is good and tight, the F50 is a very nice guitar for chording and some flatpicking. My '72 F48 has servred me well over 39 years, and gets a workout on a regular basis. As far as marketability, I'm not sure which piece would move the fastest. My guess would have to be the amp. Tough choice ! Art
