Sell/trade the ashton and get a Mustang 1. That will give you reverb and all kinds of other effects and amp sounds to try. It will be a great way to learn about what you like and what you don't. Getting a Mustang will be much more cost effective than adding pedals.

I agree with Arjay, but the one I'd suggest may cost more than you want to spend. It may be cheaper in your case to go with another amp. Up to you mate. Here is the pedal I currently use and so far I like it. Good luck my friend!!

yes but my local music store only has blackstar amps that have reverb and there is this guitar there that i want its a SX Strat copy but its based off a '62 Strat its got 6 on the side machine heads and 3 color sunburst and a mint green pickguard all for $119.00 there and they dont take trades as my mom was saying, but i might try and trade my Ashton amp and get the Blackstar

That pedal costs about four times what the OP's amp is worth!

Why do you need another guitar? What's wrong with the ones you have?

Considering how many guitars you have maybe you should keep the Ashton as a second practice amp and save up for a Mustang 2 instead of a Mustang 1. You could go a long way with an amp like the Mustang 2. (I'm assuming that you have access to a computer that you can load fuse on and play with the settings to get some presets that you like.) A Mustang amp will open up a world of sounds that you can explore without having to buy more expensive equipment and a bunch of pedals.

In the end, it's your fingers that count, not the equipment. Still, a bit of reverb, etc. can be nice.

John

John[/quote] well i could get a mustang 1 or a blackstar HT-1 for a amp with reverb since i have bad GAS attacks now i own the SX Strat that i wanted and it sounds great for a mess around guitar.

Fender is a good sound though i am addicted to Strat's and Tele's im thinking of getting floyd rose trem put on my squire strat

Well I certainly understand the addiction thing. It just seems like you're more in need of a decent amp than a new guitar at the moment. Of course it doesn't have to be a Mustang 1, although it's pretty hard to beat for the price, I've read that VOX has something similar but I don't know anything about the VOX.

I've seen used-but-clean Super Champ XD's going for as low as $200 lately. And they're full-featured amps (including reverb).
