I have a Fender Stage Lead II amp Serial number 200481. I need to replace the two 1/4" guitar lead plugs and need to know where to get them since they are attached to a circuit board. No clue how old this is (maybe 81 in the serial number is aclue) It works fine but the plugs are scratchy. Nope tuner cleaner did not work. No information on the Fender site re this model.

Thanks

Pics of what your talking about would help a bunch...I am guessing you are going to have a difficult time replacing them since they are attached to a circuit board...I am no expert on internal workings of amps but you might try Antique Electrical Supply they seem to have just about everything. Although you may have to contact them since the plug is attached to a circuit board.

By the way yes these amps were made in the early eighties, but the serial number you posted is just a coincidence to the year.

What you refer to are known as "input jacks".

You'll find them at most of the electrical supply outlets that stock such amp items at Antique Electronic Supply, Mouser, The Parts Guru, Angela Instruments, and others. You'll need to pull your chassis and visually inspect the existing components to ensure that you order the correct jacks for your amp. Many Ebay vendors also sell these parts for reasonable $$$. Good luck.
