What kinda Custom Fender Amp? If it's tweed type---two screws on top hold the amp in the cab.

BUT, you can usually use a contact cleaner spray to clean the pots without removing the chassis. You may need to remove a panel. Be sure amp is off and unplugged, before opening up any panels.

Good luck!

Before pulling the chassis, try removing the knobs and sprayng the pots from the front. Sometimes this is good enough to clean out the things. If not...

Unplug amp. Take top back cover off (4 screws). Undo four screws holding strap at the top of the cab. Four nuts will drop down into the cab. Retrieve. Now carefully pull the holder with long screws from the top of each side of the cab. Hold the chassis to help keep the screws aligned. Take cord holder off power cord (on inside of cab). Once this is done, keep screws, nuts, and straps in safe place. You can now pull the amp's chassis straight back and out of the cab. Exposing the pots for cleaning.

Reverse procedure to reinstall. CAREFULLY line up chassis and the straps with the long screws. Place nuts onto screws (chassis side). Do not over-tighten them. Serrated or locknut side of nut goes up against chassis.

Replace top back panel. Good luck with all that. Take your time. You don't want to mess up the tolex or grille yanking the chassis.

It must be that "custom" blackface Concert combo I built for a bandmate about forty years ago. It came to us as a crudely-made head conversion and I built 1 x 15 cab for it that we loaded an EV-SRO into. Not real loud due to the impedance mismatch but it sounded sweet nonetheless.
