Hey I'm having some trouble with my amp. It's a Fender Vibrolux Reverb. I dont know
the exact year but its late 70's i think. Whenever i play through it
makes a weird noise that sounds like someone is blowing on a mic and
once in awhile it makes a loud popping noise.(sometimes sounds like a Thunder) I would really appreciate any advice anyone has for me.

tnx

Sounds like one of your pre-amp tube (input, gain stage, EFX, &/or phase inverter) is starting to act up. If you have a known good spare (same model type), try subbing it into each of these positions on your amp. Hopefully, you'lll be able to isolate the bad tube(s). These would be the 12AX7 or 12AT7 tubes. Keep note of each position substitute.

Good luck, keep us informed.

If not a tube then a microphonic component, likely somewhere in the signal chain (and not necessarily in the channel being used). Could be a resistor or a cap. Use caution when troubleshooting.

This tube complement list for a Vibrolux Reverb is not familiar to me. The amp I know requires three 7025's, two 12AT7's, one 12AX7, a pair of 6L6GC's, and a GZ34 or 5U4GB.

The best ones to start with the the ones on the right hand side if you are looking at the back. The 2 12ax7's are for the normal channel and the vibrato channel. the furthest right is the normal channel and the one next to it on the left is the vibrato channel. Is this happening on one channel or both

O.K. I found the problem,

it was a tube - 12AT7 (3rd from right)
(I´w saw immediately after opening the amp,the tube was "milky")
I put a new one 12AT7 (russian: Electro Harmonix),
and now is a Sound beautifull clean and warm just like before 30 years!

Tnx one more time to all, for support :D

That's good news!

The bad 12AT7 is the reverb driver tube -- from your description it apparently lost its vacuum within the glass envelope. That's not unheard of but it doesn't often happen (usually in the case of very old tubes).

Rawk on!

Thirty years' service is not unheard of with vintage tubes, especially those used in the pre-amp stage. Consider yourself fortunate.
