Right, basically, I have a Red Knob twin, not sure of the exact date of production, but they were made i think between 85 and 91. Problem I've got is finding a new footswitch, any pointers?

Ebay may be your best bet for original OOP footswitches.

I emailed Fender Customer Service a few years ago when I was looking for a footswitch for my 69/70 Princeton. They recommended:

Music Parts Guru
Phone: 630-521-9170.

They carry a ton of Fender Footswitches

I ordered my on-line. I was very happy with the product and the service.

+1

Tom is pretty knowledgeable about all things Fender. If he doesn't have your switch you might try Steve at Angela Instruments......

He also stocks a large inventory of hard-to-find Fender parts.
