Hey Guys,

Anyone can tell me more about my Fender Bassman (Top&Cabinet) ?
Ser.nr: A11610, Stamp:(Production)12, other Stamp: 'OJ'
It's not clear to me wether it's an AA or AB165.
Googling it gives me lot of silver cloth pictures, but mine's got more of a gold brown tolex cover, the leather (of course) is black. btw: it's also 220V (handy 'cause of living in Holland).

Thanks !

Manuel

+1

The AA165 circuit was manufactured for less than a month, in January of 1965. I suspect there were less than 300 made before the changeover to the AB165. A Bassman shipping from Fullerton in October would definitely be the latter revision regardless of what the tube chart indicated.

The Tolex is the black leather looking covering. I would suspect it is the grill cloth that is brownish from years of smoke (tar and nicotine)
