Wow! Great looking amp for being that old. Thanks for posting the pics!! Arjay is one of our fine amp gurus on this forum so I'll let him or one of our other amp gurus tell you about price. I would keep it if it were mine. Good luck in whatever you do!

You're too kind, sir!

Indeed, it's truly a gorgeous specimen......a virtual "cherry". 5F10's are scarce enough, but an example in this original minty condition is remarkable. I too would keep it (and I'm not even a big fan of tweeds)!

Be that as it may, I'd start the bidding at $2500 and let the cork-sniffers and the weenie-waggers battle it out from there.

Best of luck but I hope you decide to keep it -- heirlooms like that are hard to come by.

HTH

Arjay

Excellent Find.

My Harvard is a 1956 (Serial # H 00050; Date Stamp FE) All original - came with an extra speaker if I want to pull the original and the original cover. I bought it last July from a local dealer for around $1,300 (He was asking $1800 on his ebay store and not getting any offers.) You can try for $2,500, just be prepared to drop your price.

Check out the Fender Field Guide

Personally - I wouldn't sell it. I love mine.

What's the history of these amps, and the other "college" models like the princeton? I never hear much about them.... :?:

Were there other models too? Did they just die out in popularity?

The amp looks b-e-a-utiful Race66

Dang that thing is in GREAT shape. Looks like someone put in a three-prong power cord already. One suggestion. You may wish to swap out that selenium diode in the bias power supply circuit for a new UF4004 (or something similar). If the OEM pops = toxic stuff.

Enjoy the amp! It's a keeper.
