I just recently bought a 1966 fender deluxe reverb.I need to replace the filter caps i ordered a set of 16mf caps.that's what the stock value should be.But the other day i opened the amp up and checked the caps and i found that there is 20mf caps in there. Is there gonna be much of a change in tone.Going with a smaller cap.I kinda like the tone as it is.I am wondering if i should send the 16mf caps back and get 20mf

µF not mF 8)
20µF better than 16 for supply but sure no significant hum difference.

The 16µF is no longer considered a "standard" value and those caps are difficult to come by. The 20µF is a more common value and performs as well as the original spec cap.

Be sure to inspect all the resistors in the voltage-dividing network as well when replacing the filters.
