Hello I'm buying a 1965 FENDER TWIN REVERB BLACKFACE As far as Ive heard from playin this amp it sounds FANTASTIC!!!! When Iturn the dials no static the reverb sound great and the serial number, transformer numbers are consistent with the model and year of this FANTASTIC MACHINE . Now Im unable to get in for an appointment to see my amp tech, and thats usually how Ido things when buying an old machine like this. What else can I do to make sure theres nothing wrong with this amp short of opening it up to check out what under the hood? The numbers match, It sounds fantastic, Is it safe to say that everything is alright with it ? is there anything else I can check before buying it?) THANKS!!

Really, you've done about all you can do,it's sounding good, the numbers that you can see match and if the outside looks good, unless you know if the grill cloth is not original or all the knobs have been replaced and the price reflects that,it's up to you...look for any knobs/pots that have been added or holes drilled that shouldn't be there.
