We're almost at the first anniversary of the devastating flood that ravaged Nashville last year. I was invited to go down there the day after the storm with Vince Cunetto to triage guitars for one of his "Country Superstar" friends. I disassembled irreplaceable guitars for three days, and it was an experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Since this is the amp forum, I'm posting a link to my photos of some of the amps I saw. There will be a link in the guitar section later with the photos of some guitars. The epiphany I had was that we are stewards of the guitars and amplifiers we love, and our possession is temporary. Temporary in that we all gotta go someday, and our gear "lives on". All you can do is have a good Will in place, and pass them on to another good steward. http://photobucket.com/ashtone54

The shot of those disemboweled Leslies was particularly sobering.

:(

That was painful to look at...all those vintage amps covered in green gunk...I really feel for the folks that lost some really fine vintage amps and guitars.

Glad to see some folks are pitching in to help clean them up...I will never complain again about cleaning an old amp I buy :!:

Sure enough bad stuff...we're being threatened again right now, some areas could see as much as 8" on saturated ground. :( along with high winds and tornados,we've been hit with rough weather three weeks in a row and this is week four.
It's rolling into my county right now.

Stay dry, Reb.

You might consider moving all your gear upstairs......just in case.

Why Nashville? The music capitol of the world. Why not Detroit? Then we wouldn't have to tear everything down ourselvs.
