Ok, how many of your have sig others that dig guitars? Everyone. It's part of the reason most of us take up the beast. But, how many have SO's that want to learn the thing (maybe for the 10th time)?

I'm not even sure that "Pink Lady" (some Japanese pop group of the 1980's) could even play an instrument (musical, that is).

Arjay & I have been kicking around the idea of "pinking" the VC. Anyone ever done this? You don't need to identify yourself.

Actually, the first Strat I ever owned was a pink, 1960 Strat with matching neck and headstock (RW board). I have no idea what bearing this has on your topic, I just figured I'd share. :)

They made pink Strats in 1960? Musta also been for some "girl band." I'm hoping... :D

Well, if GF sticks with it, maybe she'll want a 100watt pink Marshall stack for XMAS.

It was a special order. A friend of my mother's was a Fender Dealer. He had ordered it specially for his daughter. She decided not to play, he sold it to me for get this, $75 which included the HS case!

Do you still have that Strat? Does it have nice PuP's? I wonder how much it's worth today? I mean you could have sold it to my GF for $5K... Well, maybe later, once she learns a few chords.

I wish I did. The pups were sweet. I never really tried to figure out how much it would be worth today as it would only make me more disgusted with myself. On the upside, I did sell it at a nice profit in 1970. This is when Pre-CBS Strats were just considered, "old Strats".

That is one of the rarest of all vintage Strat colors. Probably worth $75,000 now, lol.
