hello everyone, i'm new here, i'm from poland and my name is piotr.
I have a question about Dual Showman Reverb from this album :

http://himas.fotosik.pl/albumy/827458.html

what can you say ? anythin suspicious or unusual in this ? is it original ? is the black grille cloth original ?
and the shape of logo "dual showman ... " next to the master volume which is faded and almost completely worn out ... all the logos I can find in the internet are horizontal letters and different font ... this one is at some angle and looks like the blackface Showman font ...

anything to worry about buying this one ??

thanks for any answers
regards
Piotr

According to the stamped serial number on the rear, the chassis does indeed date to 1972. The cabinet does not appear to be original since it lacks the spring-loaded thumb screws on the bottom (for securing the head to the top of the speaker enclosure). The "ON" switch on the rear panel likewise appears to be wonky (some type of replacement?). The original amp designation on the front panel appears to have been removed with an abrasive, with some kind of "blackface" script logo applíque replacing it. The grill cloth covering the front valence panel is not standard Fender fare -- it should be the traditional silver/white/turquoise metallic weave.

Without examining the chassis's interior it would be impossible to comment upon the amp's electronic bona fides. The amp has "been around" though -- there is no disputing that.

Hi,thanks for your interest and sharing your opinion.
In fact it's already on it's way to me.
Just hope that the inside is more genuine than it's outer body ...
After all I don't care that much about the looks - I'm a player not
a collector ;)
I'll let myself ask you again when I get a look at what's inside

best regards
Piotr

Put some pics up after it arrives -- we'll take a look at it.

Hello! I looking for a new skin or front cover for a 1968'69' Fender Dual Showman reverb. Unfortunately I've burned out long time ago, it has an 8 inch hole on the speaker's front cover. I would like to replace it somehow. Can somebody help me how can I buy a new one, and how much it could be? Thx.

You want to redo the grille or the front cloth to the unit? Poprawny?

Here are some places that carry Fender grille cloth (and you can check EBay):

Thanks for this links, I hope I can find the original grille cloths. I didn't know it calls like this! :) Yes, I would like to change the front grille cloths of a speaker. It's kind of a big part.
