The speaker cab arrived this afternoon and its already at the shop getting a line in jack installed.

It tested at 8 ohm - so wiring is fine and the cone looks perfect and original. I get it back tomorrow.

The interior frame of the cabinet is solid wood - pine I think - with a two tone wood veneer for the exterior skin, also solid wood. It looks better here than it did on line.

Love that "treble clef" motif. My experience with these older wooden cabs is that they sound very good, once you get the speaker sorted out. Usually, they have original speaker in them and the paper can be kinda fragile.

Good luck with that. Great find!

+1!

You don't see artistry like that anymore.

Rawk on!

Final update -

The speaker code was 270 4 20 (1954 - 20th week).

There was a model number...... I left that paper at the shop  I'll have to go back tomorrow and grab it.

The interior wood of the cabinet is solid maple with the exterior is solid pine (about 1/4" thick).

The Quam speaker is a jewel and sounds great (well at least to my 50 yr. old ears). Nice cleans and can get dirty, but I could use an overdrive pedal since I am running this off my 5 watt Vintage 47 Oahu suitcase. (I'm going to try my son's Boss Fender 59 Bassman for starters.... then serious look for something later).
