I have a 1968 Twin Reverb with the drip edge - I'm wondering what color the original foot switch would be - chrome or black?

Anybody know?

I personally saw both types while helping to uncrate brand-new '68s in 1968. Some model-year '69 and '70 amps were still shipping from Fullerton with the black-enameled switch housing.

So a chrome one would not be historically incorrect?
Thanks!

Correct. A '68 could swing either way. And I once owned a silverface AA270 TR in 1970 that had a black footswitch. I have a pic somewhere......
